The COVID-19 pandemic has forced universities to make a radical switch from face-to-face traditional teaching (TT) completely online learning (OL). Thus, many studies proposed the proper OL environment for specific subject and evaluated its effectiveness. However, few have empirically compared with TT determine which better More importantly, an self-regulated (SRL) ability of student interactively influence student’s investigated how influences behaviours students different SRL abilities. aims this study were compare adopted hybrid examine individually levels. This three significant findings. First, participation rate work quality in than TT. Second, high-SRL middle-SRL higher under TT, while low-SRL rates Third, overall do not particularly favour or prefer OL. Implications practice policy Educators could consider on software courses (e.g., Microsoft Office) programming during pandemic, because most benefit more provide assistance OL, enhance their learning. giving private space reduce disturbances, introverted middle-SRL.
